There is a lot happening with Club Monaco lately, between store openings in Europe and the U.S. and an e-tail shop, set to launch in February 2012. At my Holiday preview earlier today, I had a glimpse of some of its upcoming offerings. While I was lusting over leather motorcycle jackets and cashmere sweaters, the PR manager also reminded me of the repurposed vintage military collection that is about to hit stores this fall. While in London, Club Monaco’s design team hand-picked one-of-a kind men’s vintage military jackets at Portobello Market and reformatted them into parkas, vests, and jackets for women. Each piece has been altered for an updated, modern look, but they have done a good job of maintaining the authenticity of the pieces. The collection ($149 to $199, available at select Los Angeles and New York Club Monaco stores) includes 20 different styles, but the little cropped jacket is my personal favorite.
