First they tackled tennis with a collaboration with Serena Williams, and now OPI is going for glory with a new Miss Universe collection inspired by the pageant, which airs in September. All four shades in the range are fittingly shiny, sparkly, and out to win. [Racked]

A new study uses statistical data to prove what anyone who has been to a Whole Foods recently already knows: Eating well is a luxury for the affluent. Researchers have looked at four nutrients—potassium, fiber, vitamin D, and calcium—which the most recent set of USDA guidelines said Americans were not eating enough of, only to find that consuming the recommended amounts of each would make the average person’s food bill go up almost $400 per year. That $8 box of Kale Chips we’ve been indulging in of late is worth it! [NPR]

The newest fragrance from Diesel capitalizes on a growing trend in perfumery that claims to cause physical attraction through scent. Loverdose, as the flacon is called, apparently contains molecules that stimulate the hypothalamus, the sexual center of the brain, to “ignite passions like never before.” [Independent]

Country fans will presumably have the same reaction by merely thinking about the forthcoming debut fragrance from Keith Urban, a.k.a. Mr. Nicole Kidman. [WWD]
