ONHIM: ASCOT CHANG @ 60

In celebration of their 60th year in the bespoke tailoring business, Ascot Chang is reintroducing many of their classic inspirational threads that are simultaneously retro & modern.  There are elements of the iconic power suit, set against far quieter, subtler choices, which ooze classic sophistication.  The three-piece suit continues to be a strong trend throughout the collection, with a specific emphasis on waistcoat variations. A Navy pinstripe suit is shown with a double-breasted vest that updates a classic power suit ensemble. A Charcoal Gray sharkskin suit is worn with a Dove Gray vest for a sleek & refined semi-formal look. For evening, a Midnight Blue shawl collar tuxedo is presented with a classic low-cut waistcoat. This waistcoat is made in the same wool & silk fabric as the tuxedo, & serves as an elegant & understated alternative to the cummerbund.
Dress shirts, a mainstay of the label’s seasonal offerings, are presented in exclusive fabrics developed by Thomas Mason exclusively for Ascot Chang. Inspired by pattern designs from archival fabrics that were ordered by Ascot Chang in the 1970s, 80s & 90s, these exclusive fabrics will be available in updated color ways for this season.
Ready to Wear shirts retail for $200.00-$400.00 (with custom options ranging from $200.00 to $1,100.00), suits range in price from $2,500 to $5,000.  With over 3,500 fabrics to choose from for suits alone, there’s no chance a single customer will ever walk away disappointed.  The trademark details & styles are designed & fit by skilled in-house tailors, then crafted with single needle French seams, Australian mother of pearl buttons & 22 stitches per inch.
Ascot Chang opened their first bespoke shop in Hong Kong in 1953.  Their current U.S. flagship store is located on 110 Central Park South in New York City, with a second location in Beverly Hills, CA.
