True Confessions Of A Wang Model

October 20, 2011

Alexander Wang had catwalk veterans in his Spring ‘12 show and on the sidelines this season, including industry icon Linda Evangelista. However, he also had a fresh crop of new talent, including two relatively unknowns: Lara Mullen and Maria Bradley. “She had never modeled before, hopped on a plane from London, and came straight to the studio,” Wang says of Mullen, who made her modeling debut on his runway last month. Bradley, who opened his show, was plucked from a small town in Kansas by Wang’s casting director, Anita Bitton. “When I first met Maria, she was so nonchalant and effortless; she instantly felt like the brand—she reminded me of a young Amanda Moore,” Wang tells Style.com.

Mullen went on to walk in major shows, including Celine and Givenchy, and Bradley appeared on the runway at Versace and Balenciaga. Their journeys to runway stardom were captured in a short film, debuting on AlexanderWang.com today. Style.com has the exclusive clip of Confessional.
