Simon Cowell: I Had a "Bizarre" Blind Date With Denise Richards
Haute-House - 29 minutes agoDuring a chat Wednesday on Howard Stern's Howard 101 Sirius XM Radio show, Cowell revealed that he had a "bizarre kind of blind date" with Richards several years back.

"She's cute," the British X-Factor judge and producer, 51, told Stern of the 40-year-old actress and reality star. The pair were set up by mutual pals to meet at the Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills, Cowell explained.
One major catch? "She turned up 8 months pregnant and had a dog in her handbag," Cowell said. (Richards gave birth to two daughters with ex-husband Charlie Sheen: Sam, 7, and Lola, 6; she adopted infant daughter Eloise Joni over the summer.)

Howard Stern noted to Cowell that seeing a pregnant Richards must have been "a real turnoff."
"A little bit," Cowell admitted. "But she is gorgeous. I liked her a lot, I think she's cute, funny, a bit of a wacko...but I like that."
Cowell didn't divulge much more about the date, adding only, "We met up afterwards."

But apparently it wasn't a love match. Cowell and makeup artist Mezhgan Hussainy quietly became engaged in February 2010. Currently single, Richards divorced Sheen, now 46, in 2006, and went on to date rockers Richie Sambora and Nikki Sixx.
Gushed Cowell: "She's a great girl."
