It's in the bag—literally. That's what Jason Wu was thinking last night after Diane von Furstenberg and Steven Kolb called out the designer, who won last year's CFDA Swarovski womenswear award, as a nominee for the 2011 Swarovski accessory category. As he proudly held up a structured black Jean tote at DVF's studio, he told Style.com, "I figured hey, I should be championing my own accessories." Since he has to beat out Pamela Love, Eddie Borgo, and Alejandro Ingelmo before it's actually in the bag, we had to find out what he's toting around for now. "A sketchbook, wallet, a bottle of water, and my ID—all the things a designer needs to survive in the city."

After exchanging congratulatory remarks with Wu, Eddie Borgo said, "We all hang out—Alejandro, Jason, and Pamela—it's like a community in a sense, so that makes it easier." DVF announced plans to utilize the tight-knit CFDA community to raise relief funds for Japan through an auction. Designers like Alexander Wang, who was nominated in three categories, already have plans in the works. "We are actually going to be doing something special on our Facebook page for a charity," he said.

The CFDA also showed its support for something—or, rather, someone else. "Overwhelmingly, all the votes went to someone who actually created a fashion revolution: Lady Gaga," DVF said, followed by a loud applause. Now we are left to wonder, who will dress the Lady for the CFDA Awards?
